Inspired by Liz Greenfield’s appearance in an edition of The Everyday, I invited Adam to draw himself for a special Ellerbism treat. I inked over his pencils, which was weird but really enjoyable. It’s strange when you have to keep to someone’s line work but also incorporate it into your own style.
If you guys don’t already read The Everyday, then please, please do. It’s one of my favourite comics and each new strip makes my blood boil with creative jealousy. It’s a true gem.

That’s really cool – having the two different styles in there could have been risky, but it works well. Also I like how in the second panel it looks like Anna is cowering in fear of this strange new art style. Meta!
That is very cool. Might be fun to get a non-artist who appears to try it. That’d be a contrast.
Coooool. It’s like an issue of Marvel Team-Up.
Did you get Adam to do his own character cause you make him podgy in your previous attempts?
LOL.I actually noticed that it was drawn in Cadwell’s styl, and thought maybe you attempted to dra whim right.Hm.Still,isn’t it a little uncomforatble having someone else working on your comic?
This is SO very strange to see the final result. It’s very close to something I’ve drawn but indescribably different, like the Uncanny Valley or something. I think it came out really well though.
