Today’s strip is the last one (for the time being) based on the self harm aspect of our lives. Thursday’s strip is much lighter and features the return of everyone’s short, cuddly, comic relief northerner; Mr Adam HotCadwell.
Thanks for sticking with me the past couple of weeks.

These strips have been excellent. Really excellent.
Hey bro,
Ive just had a catch up on ure ellerbisms and I had no idea. I care about you both bigtime and I hope you’re both ok now, you know im always around if you both need me.

Up until now I haven’t really been able to think of anything to say in response to that event. I read the first one and was stunned. I felt a kind of lesser version of what I’m guessing you probably felt when it actually happened, that feeling of ‘no, it’s impossible.’ I kept reading whatever you posted and with each reading I found myself thrown back into that feeling. I was very glad to hear (read) that it is something you guys have, to a degree, gotten past and that no life was lost.
I won’t pretend to understand what that was like and I feel that I could write pages of text in this little box without ever managing to fully express myself but I feel I must say this; thank you. Thank you for letting us into your world every few days. Thank you for the honesty with which you portray your lives. We are strangers and yet we are friends. I hope this comic never ends. (in a ‘long live the Ellerby’ kind of way not a curse of Sisyphus kind of way)
Love to you both.
Thought-provoking and memorable series of strips. Ellerbisms is all the better for them. I am stunned by the bravery of you both.
ellerbisms is a smart comic, one of the few that can pull off levity AND gravity. this portion was deftly handled and incredibly moving. no need for explanation or appeasement.
*hugs* and ooo Hotwell!!!
God, Marc, this is heavy, i just checked in for some laughs but…
good to see you are still working with a compulsive honesty, and the treatment of the subject matter is deft, particularly the knife flashback, not so good to see that things are dark for you at the moment, I hope they’re improving…
take care buddy, its been too long, hope to see you again at some fucking point…
